About

WTF?! is what the job market is now: a discriminating pain in the ass. When you don’t have a college degree, the job market says, “NO.” When you don’t have extensive job experience, the job market says, “HELL NO.” That’s what’s wrong today. There are thousands– millions of qualified people out there that can do the job, but are still labeled as unemployed. Since when did our country decide that spending $200,000 on a college degree is a prerequisite for the American dream?

Job4Joe is a social initiative that provides a way for individuals of all ages, education, experience, and social backgrounds to promote themselves through an online pitch– a 30 to 60 second video that allows employers to evaluate the less tangible “holy trinity”: intelligence, perseverance, and resourcefulness.

Consider the story of Ted Williams, the formerly jobless voice-over artist. On January 3, 2011, his viral video appearance as “The Man With the Golden Voice” charmed thousands and later millions of viewers on YouTube with a remarkable voice almost identical to that of a radio host. Four days later, he received numerous job offers from sports and radio organizations such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and MSNBC. You can view his story here:

We believe in the power of digital video and the multiple messages that a simple, 30-second to 1-minute video can convey. That is why Job4Joe was created: nowadays, it’s not enough to have just a résumé and a reference nowadays. We put you above other job candidates by showing employers that you have the potential to succeed in the workplace.

Although we are a B2B (business-to-business) service, we are actively looking for referrals from job seekers and students who are undergoing job training. If you want a Job4Joe representative to come out to your center or event, hit us up. If you’re looking for sample pitches, click here (it is password-protected, so contact Joe at joe@job4joe.org to request for it). We promise an email/phone reply within twelve hours and a low, lowwwwwwww price that will make you spill your morning Joe.

Cheers!
